The Manatee Jaguars are a youth sports organization focused on youth football and cheer. Our mission is to give young athletes a fresh vision, strong support, and opportunities to grow in teamwork, discipline, and confidence.

Executive Board Members

President

Coach T

Leads the Manatee Jaguars youth football and cheer program and actively oversees administration.

Has led his team to back-to-back Super Bowl wins with multiple trophies and golden rings.Known as a selfless, dedicated, and passionate coach,committed to the new vision and growth of the program.

Vice President

Brett Koon

Plays a key role in leadership, overseeing the youth program and financial integrity of this volunteer youth football and cheer organization. Supports youth athletes, families, and staff while helping the program grow and run smoothly.

C.F.C

A highly valued member of Everglades Equipment Group, Travis brings years of experience and dedication to the organization. In addition to his professional contributions, he serves as a board member for the Manatee County Fairgrounds, where he plays an active role in supporting community events and initiatives. A lifelong resident of Manatee County, he is deeply committed to giving back to the community and supporting local growth and development across both professional and civic arenas.

Travis

As Chief Financial Consultant Travis Oversees financial guidance and planning to help ensure the youth program remains strong, organized, and sustainable.

Sponsorship & Funding Director/ Photographer

Elsie Ely

Brings a deep commitment to the program, with a background as a former athlete and 10 years of service in the Marine Corps. Oversees sponsorships, fundraising, and captures game-day moments to showcase the youth football and cheer program. Currently pursuing a degree in Finance and passionate about ensuring every athlete has the opportunity to play in a safe, fun environment.

Legal Consultant

Dwayne

Responsible for maintaining the youth football and cheer program’s bylaws, policies, and regulations. Helps protect the program and youth by promoting accountability and a safe environment. Also assists with background checks and fingerprinting for the community.

Brett Koon - Coach Koon

Assists with administrative planning and program support.

Kayla

Provides organized office support and ensures smooth day-to-day operations. Manages events, fundraisers, and program coordination. Highly committed to supporting the youth football and cheer program’s new vision and fresh look.

Treasure/ Commissioner/ Registrar

Danielle

Leads the cheer program with energy and dedication, focused on building confidence, skills, and teamwork. Fully committed to supporting the athletes and creating a positive environment, Danielle is excited for the new vision of the cheer program this season.

Marquis Huston -

Serves on the administrative team overseeing athlete performance standards, training methods, and development strategies. Supports coaches and athletes to maintain high performance and growth across the youth program.

Community Leader | Mentor

Christopher Ward

Christopher has dedicated his life to mentoring youth, with 12 years of experience working in School Board administration, 2 years as a children’s mental health technician, and over 20 years as a football coach driven by a lifelong passion for the sport. 

Provides mentorship and guidance for youth athletes.

OWNER

Melissa Copp

Has been dedicated to the youth football and cheer program for 16 years, providing leadership and support for staff, athletes, and families.

Excited for the new vision and fresh look of the Manatee Jaguars program.
